O’hara wanted to pursue her dream of becoming an artist and fashion designer, sa kabila ng mahigpit na pagtutol ng kanyang ama. After dropping out of business school in Paris, she went back home and enrolled at Olin International Arts Academy, an institution especially designed for gifted young artists.
